Editorial Standards

Trust is the whole point of this site. Here’s exactly how we decide what to recommend.

What we look for

1. Body-safe materials

We favor non-porous materials such as medical-grade or platinum-cure silicone, borosilicate glass and stainless steel, which are easier to clean. We’re cautious about porous materials and products with vague or missing material information. See our materials guide.

2. Clear, verifiable specifications

Waterproof ratings, charging method, battery life and noise levels should come from the manufacturer, not guesswork.

3. Reputable sellers and brands

We prioritize established brands and retailers with secure checkout, fair return policies and discreet shipping.

4. Verified buyer feedback

We read reviews for patterns in durability, comfort and customer service, and we watch for signs of fake or incentivized reviews.

5. Value

Expensive isn’t automatically better. We include options across price ranges.

What we avoid

  • Products making exaggerated performance or “enhancement” claims
  • Listings with explicit imagery or packaging
  • Unknown sellers with no material disclosures

How we write

Every guide uses respectful, clinical language, with no explicit images or descriptions. We update guides when products, prices or policies change, and we correct errors promptly. Spot something off? Let us know.

Independence

We may earn commissions on purchases, but commissions never decide our picks. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
